Update – serious crash at Annerley, QLD

A man has died after being struck by a car at Annerley on August 20, Queensland Police say.

Two cars were involved in a collision at the intersection of Venner Road and Lagonda and Frederick streets at around 5.25pm.

The impact caused one of the vehicles to become airborne and flip. The vehicle came to rest on its roof at the corner of Venner Road and Frederick Street, colliding with a man standing at the intersection.

The 68-yer-old Annerley man was transported under police escort to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with critical injuries where he died today.

The drivers of both vehicles and a passenger were treated for minor injuries at the time.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
