Update – Serious traffic crash at Springwood, QLD

Forensic Crash Unit investigators have released vision as part of an appeal to the community for information following a serious traffic crash at Springwood last week, Queensland Police say.

On Wednesday, November 7 around 4.50pm, a 55-year-old man was riding a 2012 blue Harley Davidson motorcycle along the Logan Road on-ramp, towards the southbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway, when a 2004 blue Honda Accord sedan has collided with the motorcycle.

Investigations suggest the driver stopped temporarily and had a brief conversation with a second motorcyclist, who witnessed the crash and also stopped at the scene, before both parties left.

As part of an appeal, police have released vision of the incident and the second motorcyclist, as they continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.

Police are appealing to that motorcyclist – or anyone else who witnessed the crash and has not yet contacted them – to do so.

Anyone who may have dash-camera footage relating to the crash is also urged to contact police.

The 55-year-old motorcyclist remains in the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 21-year-old Woodridge man continues to assist with the investigation.
