Fire crews continue to fight fires in Katherine.
The fire has impacted Uralla Road but no structures, vehicles or outbuildings have been affected, Northern Territory Police say.
Assistance has been provided by residents, BFNT helicopter, private contractors and Parks.
Wind has dropped and made the fire more manageable.
The fire has been attacked on two fronts.
Leading Fire Fighter Branson on front one (Tindal) reports the fire is under control.
Front two at Uralla St has a back burn underway. The fire has stalled at this location.
Fire crews are expected to remain on scene for a few more hours with no additional fire crews requested at this time.
