UPDATE – Wounding at Normanton, QLD

Police are appealing to members of the public to help locate a man who police believe may be able to assist with their inquiries into a wounding incident at Normanton this morning (January 12), Queensland Police say.

At about 8.50am at a residence on Woodward Street, a woman received four knife wounds to her abdomen after being assaulted by a man at that location.

The man forced the woman into a vehicle and attempted to leave the scene, however the woman was able to escape by exiting the moving vehicle.

The man fled the scene in the vehicle.

Police are appealing to any members of the public who may know the whereabouts of the man or vehicle pictured to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
