Update – Wounding in South Brisbane, QLD

Detectives investigating the stabbing and robbery of a security guard at a school in South Brisbane this morning have released the identity of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries, Queensland Police say.

Khia Gribben, 25, was last seen at a bus stop located outside Lutwyche City shopping centre on Gympie Road just after 6am.

Police wish to speak with him in relation to the wounding incident where a male security guard was approached by another man at a school on Graham Street around 5.25am.

The 51-year-old security guard was stabbed multiple times and had property stolen. He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where he underwent surgery and is currently in a stable condition.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen Khia Gribben or know his whereabouts to call Triple Zero. Member of the public are advised not to approach him.
