Updated COVID restrictions: wear masks indoors, in-home gatherings limited to 15 people

The Victorian Government has introduced tighter COVID-19 restrictions, which began from 11.59pm Wednesday 3 February 2020.

What are the new restrictions?

  • The amount of people that can visit your home has reduced to 15 (previously 30).
  • Masks are mandatory in all indoor settings. If you are planning to leave your home, take a mask. It needs to be worn any time you're inside, except when you're eating or drinking.

Information about public exposure sites

The Victorian Department of Health and Human Services has updated its website with a list of current COVID-19 exposure sites. Anyone who has visited the listed Tier 1 exposure sites during the prescribed times must immediately isolate, get a COVID-19 test, and remain isolated for 14 days.
