Updated guideline for Field Management Plan released

Revised guideline follows extensive stakeholder consultation

The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) has released an updated guideline on how to prepare a Field Management Plan.

The release follows a stakeholder consultation process that closed in late 2021.

DMIRS Resource and Environmental Compliance Division's Executive Director Karen Caple said the revised guideline is designed to assist registered title holders develop their plans and revisions as per the requirements of the Resource Management and Administration Regulations 2015.

"This 'how-to' resource also provides guidance on submitting the applications through the online Petroleum and Geothermal Register system."

"I would like to thank the stakeholders who provided feedback which was of great assistance during the revision process."

The revised guideline is available on the department's website as is the response to stakeholder submissions.
