Upgrades to Tinderry Road commencing soon

Works to upgrade Tinderry Road will get underway from Monday 11 October 2021, thanks to $1,102,510 secured under round one of the NSW State Government's Fixing Local Roads funding.

This vital infrastructure upgrade for the Tinderry Road community will be delivered in two stages:

• In Stage One, nine culvert pipes will be installed, along with four box culverts, with an estimated completion date of Friday 10 December 2021

• Stage Two work is estimated to begin Monday 10 January 2021 and will see the sealing of three kilometres of Tinderry Road

Following the completion of both stages, Council will be doing further work to address the shoulder cracking problems further along Tinderry Mountain at the location known as The Governor.

Final completion and reopening of Tinderry Road at this early stage are estimated to be prior to May 2022.

The local community, businesses and visitors to the area should expect delays while work is ongoing. We would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused and look forward to providing updates throughout this project.

Please be mindful of workers and machinery in the area, and note that estimated dates are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
