On 12 September, ESCWA and UN-Habitat organized a virtual workshop on the tools and methodologies used to implement the urban monitoring framework (UMF) and the development of Voluntary Local Reviews (VLRs) in the Arab region.
Participants discussed the execution plan of the "Fostering COVID-19 for the Implementation of the SDGs through Local Action" project, which aims to reinforce the capacities of local and regional governments and multi-level governance systems to advance the localization of the SDGs.
They were also trained on the data collection process and tools in the development of VLRs.
