Police are appealing for public assistance to locate two teenage girls missing from Sydney's east.
Zoe Askounis and Sophie Sheehan, both aged 13, were last seen together at a school on Hardy Street, Dover Heights, about 11am today (Wednesday 4 February 2026).
Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command and Leichhardt Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
Police hold concerns for the two girls' welfare due to their age.
Zoe is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 150cm - 155cm tall, of thin build, with brown hair and green eyes.
She was last seen wearing her school uniform consisting of a red polo shirt, navy shorts and a black backpack.
Sophie is described being of Caucasian appearance, about 150cm - 155cm tall, of thin build, with black hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts.
Inquiries established they may had been to Wollongong area today (Wednesday 4 February 2026) and travelling on the rail network.
