U.S. Senior Official for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Ambassador Matt Murray will travel to Lima, Peru, December 4-6, to participate in the APEC Informal Senior Officials' Meeting (ISOM) and engage with local stakeholders.
As the first event of the Peru APEC 2024 host year, the ISOM will build upon the outcomes, activities, and initiatives of the U.S. APEC 2023 host year, including the APEC Economic Leaders' Week hosted in November in San Francisco, California. The informal meeting in Lima will be a valuable opportunity for the United States to share insights into the achievements and legacy of the U.S. APEC 2023 host year.
The United States is enthusiastic about contributing to these meetings, as Peru assumes the important role of hosting APEC in 2024. We look forward to the highly productive and mutually beneficial collaboration between the United States, Peru, and fellow APEC economies.
