U.S. President Trump Announces United States Government Mission to United States-Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit and East Asia Summit

Today, President Donald J. Trump announced the United States participation in the United States-Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit and the East Asia Summit in Bangkok, the Kingdom of Thailand, from November 3 to 4, 2019.

The President has named Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs Robert C. O'Brien as his Special Envoy to the Summits.

Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs O'Brien will be accompanied by Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross, who will be the senior United States Government representative at the second annual Indo-Pacific Business Forum in Bangkok. Secretary Ross is leading an executive trade mission to Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam from November 3 to 8, 2019.
