USA Today: As COVID -19 cases and deaths spike in India

Cincinnatians of Indian descent are keeping a watchful eye on their homeland and the pandemic rages through India. "Most of us have known somebody who's received bad news," says Rajan Kamath, a UC associate professor of business, in a USA Today article about the desperate situation in India due to COVID-19.

Kamath and other Cincinnati residents have banded together to help provide moral support to each other, and financial support to the country.

"I think it's an understatement to say that people at the community level are shocked to see the most recent numbers."
