USAID Chief Power Heads to UAE for COP 28 Participation

Administrator Power will travel to attend the 28th Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. While there, the Administrator will highlight the progress USAID has made in addressing the climate crisis.

Administrator Power will discuss progress on the President's Emergency Plan for Adaptation and Resilience (PREPARE), efforts to partner with the private sector to mobilize climate finance, and commitments to advance locally-led solutions to climate change.

The Administrator will participate in the following events on December 6 at the U.S. Center at COP28, which will also be livestreamed:

3:45 PM GST/6:45 AM EST: Advancing Low-Carbon and Climate-Resilient Solutions in Cities
