Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Jordan's Prime Minister Dr. Bisher Al Khasawneh to discuss efforts and priorities for facilitating increased and sustained humanitarian assistance to civilians in Gaza. Administrator Power thanked Dr. Khasawneh for Jordan's leadership in providing vital humanitarian assistance to Gaza and highlighted the U.S. government's continuous efforts to accelerate the pace of life-saving aid for the Palestinian people.

Administrator Power also reaffirmed the United States' commitment to its longstanding partnership with Jordan, as demonstrated by the seven-year Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two governments in September 2022.
