Today, Administrator Samantha Power met with Kenyan Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi. Administrator Power and Prime Cabinet Secretary Mudavadi discussed the strong U.S.-Kenya relationship, as well as USAID's partnership in support of the Kenyan people. Administrator Power emphasized President Biden's support for the reauthorization of the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), and Prime Cabinet Secretary Mudavadi underscored the broad economic opportunities fostered by AGOA. Administrator Power and Prime Cabinet Secretary Mudavadi also discussed the need for implementation of the Kenya Refugee Act regulations.
