USAID Deputy Admin Meets Ukraine Social Policy Minister

On February 24, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman met with Ukrainian Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zholnovych to discuss shared efforts to provide assistance to those most in need in Ukraine.

During the meeting, Deputy Administrator Coleman affirmed the United States' solidarity with the Ukrainian people as Russia's full-scale invasion enters its second year. She expressed USAID's commitment to working with the Minister and other key stakeholders in the humanitarian community to strengthen collaboration between relief actors delivering assistance and the Government of Ukraine's (GoU) social protection programs. Both Deputy Administrator Coleman and Minister Zholnovych reflected on the importance of working together to ensure the Government of Ukraine is well prepared to provide for Ukrainians during times of crisis, including through ensuring GoU operations remain transparent and accountable.
