USAID Head Power Visits Chad to Meet Sudanese Refugees

Administrator Samantha Power arrived today in the Republic of Chad, as Chad and other countries in the region experience the humanitarian impacts of the escalating conflict in neighboring Sudan.

Administrator Power will meet with Sudanese refugees, who have fled the fighting, as well as local officials coordinating the humanitarian response to the urgent needs generated by the ongoing crisis in Sudan. Administrator Power will speak with U.S. government-supported and other UN and non-governmental organization humanitarian partners working to provide life-saving assistance to refugees and host communities.

Administrator Power will also meet with Chadian civil society and government officials.
