USAID's Coleman Discusses Aid with Bucha Mayor Fedoruk

On March 19, Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman met with Anatolii Fedoruk, Mayor of Bucha, Ukraine. They discussed the city of Bucha's ongoing efforts to rebuild following the city's horrific occupation during the first two weeks of Putin's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. As part of this work, the two discussed USAID's continued support to the people of Bucha with respect to energy and local government accountability, as well as the city of Bucha's plans to construct health-care facilities in coordination with governmental and non-governmental partners from around the world.

The Deputy Administrator acknowledged the city of Bucha's extraordinary resilience in the face of atrocities committed by Russian forces, and reiterated the U.S. government's enduring commitment to support Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
