USAID's Isobel Coleman Heads to Dominican Republic

From December 12-13, USAID Deputy Administrator Isobel Coleman will travel to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to build on the strong bilateral relationship between the United States and the Dominican Republic. Deputy Administrator Coleman will reaffirm the United States' commitment and support to inclusive economic development across the country, a focus of USAID's efforts under the Democracy Delivers Initiative.

During her trip, Deputy Administrator Coleman and U.S. International Development Finance Corporation CEO Scott Nathan will meet with President Luis Abinader and senior Dominican government officials. The Deputy Administrator will speak with members of civil society, business leaders, and USAID staff. She will also announce a new USAID investment through USAID's EDGE Fund that will enhance trade and nearshoring opportunities from small and medium-sized enterprises through the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation public-private collaboration.
