Today, Administrator Samantha Power spoke with UN World Food Program (WFP) Executive Director Cindy McCain to discuss how USAID and WFP are working together to address pressing humanitarian crises. Administrator Power and Executive Director McCain discussed efforts to urgently increase the flow of aid to Gaza, and the importance of it reaching civilians in dire need. Administrator Power affirmed the U.S. government's commitment to the protection of all civilians and her appreciation for the many humanitarian aid workers seeking to reach the most vulnerable.
