"Vacation" directors to helm "Game Night" from Jason Bateman

- The "Vacation" directing team of Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley will helm "Game Night" for New Line Cinema, Variety reports.

The duo will also rewrite the script for "Game Night," produced by Jason Bateman’s Aggregate Films and Davis Entertainment. Producers are Bateman, Aggregate’s James Garavente, Davis Entertainment’s John Davis and John Fox.

Goldstein and Dale made their directorial debut on last year’s "Vacation" reboot for New Line, which grossed more than $100 million worldwide. They are also writing the script for the upcoming "Spiderman: Homecoming" at Sony.

"Game Night," which has been in development at New Line since 2013 when Mark Perez set up the project, centers on several couples who gather for their regularly-planned game night as something goes terribly wrong.

Goldstein and Daley are also producing the action-comedy "Stuber" at Fox. They are repped by UTA and Hansen Jacobson.

Casting has not been set for "Game Night." Bateman produced, directed and starred in "Bad Words" and "The Family Fang."
