Vehicle seized as inquiries into man's death continue in Ballina

Police have seized a vehicle they believe may be linked to the death of a man in the state’s north, NSW Police say.

About 2am on Sunday 13 May 2018, emergency services were called to River Street, Ballina, after a member of the public found a man unconscious on the footpath.

Aaron Marks, 38, from Iluka, was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious head injuries.

Mr Marks died on Wednesday 16 May 2018.

Detectives from Richmond Police District, with the assistance of the Homicide Squad, formed Strike Force Bulgundara to investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.

Following inquiries, a white Holden Commodore was seized by police on Thursday 24 May 2018.

The vehicle has undergone forensic examination and detectives believe it may be linked to the incident.
