Vespa vanishes for 30 days

Ballarat West police were called to a crash in Ballarat on Saturday (13 October), Victoria Police say.

Officers were told a woman had crashed her Vespa at the intersection of Dyson Drive and Sturt Street about 4.30pm.

The 56-year-old Lucas woman allegedly fell off her Vespa and was unable to pick it up off the road.

She allegedly returned a positive blood alcohol content reading of 0.158.

Her licence was immediately suspended and her Vespa was impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1225.

The woman will be charged on summons.
