Victoria: Home Of Golf

VIC Premier

Labor is locking in Victoria as the home of golf securing Australia's biggest golf events for four more years.

Melbourne will host the men's Australian Open in 2027, 2029 and 2030.

Victoria has already secured the Presidents Cup at Kingston Heath in 2028, and golf fans from around the world will converge on Melbourne for four straight years of world-class competition.

The 2027 tournament will be held at Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club in Frankston, where competitors tackle a composite layout drawn from the club's acclaimed courses.

Sitting in the heart of Melbourne's world-renowned Sandbelt, Peninsula Kingswood boasts two courses ranked in the nation's top 20.

The 2026 Australian Open at Kingston Heath features back-to-back Masters Champion Rory McIlroy, who competed at Royal Melbourne in 2025.

Last year's tournament drew more than 18,000 international and interstate visitors to Victoria - who stayed an average of 6.4 nights across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

The 2026 Australian Open runs from 3 to 6 December at Kingston Heath Golf Club, which McIlroy recently ranked as one of the four best courses in the world.
