Victoria has confirmed its 13-player squad for Thursday's Dean Jones Trophy Final rematch against South Australia at the Adelaide Oval.
The two teams will face off for the second time in a week, following yesterday's thrilling win by Victoria on the final day of its opening Sheffield Match.
Todd Murphy returns to the One-Day setup for the first time this season, having recently represented Australia A in India. Captain Will Sutherland, Sam Elliott and Harry Dixon have been rested following their recent tour with the Australia A squad, while Marcus Harris and Match Perry are unavailable.
In Sutherland's absence, Matt Short will lead the side. Bowler Xavier Crone has also been named in the squad after missing the opening matches due to the birth of his second child, while Austin Anlezark comes in for a potential List A debut.
Peter Handscomb will look to continue his strong start to the season. The experienced batsman scored his 29th First Class century against South Australia earlier this week.
Oliver Peake also looms as a player to watch, with the rising star scoring a match winning 70 not out.
Victorian Head Coach Chris Rogers said the team was eager to build momentum heading into the middle stages of the competition.
"It's always exciting when we get to play South Australia, especially coming off the back of last year's final," Rogers said.
"We've had a few changes with players coming back from national duties and others taking some rest after a heavy tour schedule, but it gives us a great chance to develop more of our depth and give opportunity to players who are performing in Premier Cricket.
"Having Todd Murphy back in the mix is a big boost, and we're thrilled for Xavier Crone to return after welcoming his second child."
