Goulburn Mulwaree Council is set to begin construction works to upgrade the internal pathways at Victoria Park, which will see the completion of the Victoria Park Pathway Upgrade worth $1.53m.
This important project will improve the quality, accessibility and long-term usability of the park's pathway network, creating a safer and more enjoyable experience for residents and visitors who use Victoria Park for recreation, exercise and community activities.
Works will commence on Monday 7 September 2026 and generally be undertaken on weekdays between 7am and 5pm, with construction delivered in stages to minimise disruption and maintain access to as much of the park as possible throughout the project. Work is expected to be completed by 30 November 2026, weather permitting.
During construction, sections of the pathway network will be temporarily closed. Council encourages visitors to follow signage, use alternative pathways, or walk on adjacent grassed areas when practical.

This project is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Governments under the Australian Government's Road Safety Program. The Road Safety Program aims to improve road safety by minimising the occurrence of severe injuries and fatalities, with a focus on vulnerable road users like pedestrians and cyclists. Under the Program, the Australian and New South Wales Governments have committed over $586 million in funding for works across the state since 2023.
