Victoria has confirmed its 13-player squad for the Sheffield Shield Final against South Australia at CitiPower Centre, beginning Thursday March 26.
Having earned the right to host the decider following a dominant regular season, the ladder-leading Victorians will face last year's champions in what shapes as a high-quality contest between the competition's two standout teams.
The sides met just last week in a hard-fought draw, setting the stage for a thrilling Final.
Victoria's squad features a strong blend of experience and emerging talent, reflecting the depth and balance that has underpinned the group's success throughout the season.
Peter Handscomb and Sam Harper will once again lead the batting unit, with Handscomb currently sitting as the competition's leading run-scorer, closely followed by Harper after a standout campaign.
The hosts attack remains a key strength, headlined by Australian quick Scott Boland, who is set to play his 100th Sheffield Shield match, and versatile pace group alongside Sam Elliott, Mitch Perry and Fergus O'Neill.
Spinner Todd Murphy also shapes as an important figure after an impressive performance in last week's encounter.
Victorian Men's Head Coach Chris Rogers said the group is excited for the opportunity ahead.
"We've worked hard across the entire season to earn the right to host a Final, and there's a real sense of pride in what the group has achieved to get to this point," Rogers said.
"South Australia are a quality side and last year's champions, so we know the challenge in front of us. Last week's match showed how evenly matched the teams are, and we're expecting another tough contest.
"We've got a really balanced and determined squad and the group is ready to embrace the moment."
Victoria will face South Australia in the Sheffield Shield Final at CitiPower Centre from Thursday March 26-30 with play beginning at 10:30am AEDT.
