Victorian Umpires Daryl Brigham and Chris Grant will earn first-class umpiring debuts in season 2025-26, following strong, consistent performances in season 2024-25.
Brigham and Grant will debut across both Dean Jones Trophy and Sheffield Shield competitions, marking the first time a Victorian will debut as an official in the Sheffield Shield since 2018.
Brigham will officiate his first Sheffield Shield fixture in the rematch of the 2024-25 Final between South Australia and Queensland at Adelaide Oval from 15 October 2025. He will then make his Dean Jones Trophy debut on 20 October 2025, when South Australia hosts Queensland at Karen Rolton Oval.
Grant's first-class pathway will begin in the Dean Jones Trophy when South Australia meets Western Australia at Karen Rolton Oval on 24 September 2025. His Sheffield Shield debut will follow in the New Year when New South Wales faces South Australia at the SCG from 5 February 2026.
