Video - Honouring Indigenous Voices

This year's Denmark Festival of Voice has paid tribute to the 2019 International Year of Indigenous Languages.

A highlight was the heartfelt panel discussion - Honouring Indigenous Voices - where an incredible line up shared their journey and explained the importance of language to their community and culture.

The panel was facilitated by award winning novelist Kim Scott and included performer and writer Dr Richard Walley, OAM, singer and songwriter Emily Wurramara, Noongar Elder and storyteller Joe Northover, Howard Riley, Noongar activist and Uyghur language teacher and dancer Bella Tursun.
