Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have today released CCTV footage as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a hit-run collision in Albion on Saturday night, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a 37-year-old man was found by passers-by on Anderson Road about 11.10pm.
The Albion man was hit by a north-bound sedan and was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
The vehicle is believed to have continued without giving assistance.
Investigators have identified the sedan as a Toyota Camry or Aurion, as the result of parts located at the scene.
The vehicle will have sustained damage.
Police have released CCTV of a vehicle they wish to identify.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information regarding the vehicle is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
