Vodafone health and safety update, 6 March, 2020

Vodafone employees will return to North Sydney headquarters on Monday after a staff member was given the all clear following testing for coronavirus.

As a precautionary measure, Vodafone advised employees on Wednesday to work from home until further notice after a staff member who had recently returned from overseas, developed flu-like symptoms, and following medical advice was tested for coronavirus.

The test results were received today and are negative.

The health of our employees and the public is our number one priority and we took this action out of an abundance of caution.

Similarly, staff at three of our retail stores in Perth have been advised to return home as a precaution after one of their colleagues became unwell, and on medical advice is being tested for coronavirus

The stores at Joondalup, Forest Chase and Hillarys have been professionally cleaned and reopened today. All three stores are being staffed by non-affected employees from other stores.

Further advice will be provided once test results are received.

In both cases, we have advised the relevant health authorities and remain in close contact with them.

Vodafone supports flexible working and as a mobile company we enable our employees to work remotely as a matter of course.
