Vote For Wyndham's Creativity

Wyndham City has been recognised on the national stage, with three of its major initiatives shortlisted in the National Awards for Local Government 2024.

Wyndham City's free and spectacular lighting festival LIT and public art commission Mooroop Yarkeen by Tommy Day / Jirri Jirri are both finalists in the category of Creativity and Culture along with Council's free Firefly Night Market which is delivered as part of the Tarneit Suburban Revitalisation Program in partnership with the Victorian Government.

Wyndham City Mayor Cr Jennie Barrera said she was proud to see Firefly Night Market, Mooroop Yarkeen and LIT recognised as finalists in the Awards.

"It's an incredible achievement and testament to the hard work and commitment of Council staff and the many artists, makers, community groups, performers and partners involved," Cr Barrera said.

"The national award winners will now be determined by public vote and I encourage everyone to head online and cast your vote by 26 April. This is our chance to shine a spotlight on Wyndham and the incredible creativity, culture and diversity of our city."

"Voting is easy with just a click of a button; the hard part will be deciding which project to vote for, as you can only vote once."
