Voting in Boroondara City Council postal election

The Boroondara City Council election is being held this month.

Voting is being conducted by post and is compulsory for all voters who were on the State roll at 4 pm on Friday 28 August 2020. You may be fined if you don't vote.

Ballot packs will be mailed to enrolled voters from today.

To complete your vote, follow the instructions on your ballot pack. Your completed ballot pack must be in the mail by 6 pm on Friday 23 October 2020. Local mail clearance times vary. Ballot packs must be mailed before final clearance times in the last week of voting. Completed ballot material can also be hand delivered before close of voting to the election office which is located at Ground Floor, Building C1, 192 Burwood Road, Hawthorn.

Please note there will be a change to Boroondara's electoral structure from this year's election, with 11 Councillors to be elected from 11 single member wards. Your ballot pack will include information about the ward your property is located in.

State-enrolled voters can sign up for election SMS and email reminders via the Victorian Electoral Commission's free VoterAlert service.
