Wanted man charged, inquiries continue at Boggabilla

A man wanted on an outstanding warrant has been charged as inquiries continue to locate a second man, wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Detectives from New England Police District have established Strike Force Deleware to investigate a public place shooting at Boggabilla about 3.30am on Monday 23 November 2020.

As part of inquiries, strike force officers were patrolling Toomelah, west of Boggabilla, about 9am today (Saturday 28 November 2020), when they sighted a man, wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.

The 23-year-old man was arrested after a short foot pursuit and taken to Boggabilla Police Station where the outstanding warrant was executed, and he was charged with four counts of fire firearm at dwelling-house with disregard for safety.

He was refused bail and will appear in Tamworth Local Court tomorrow (Sunday 28 November 2020).

Inquiries continue to locate Kaylan McGrady, aged 19, who is wanted on an outstanding warrant. He is described as being Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander in appearance with a medium build, with long curly dark blond hair.
