Wanted man charged with property, fraud, and traffic offences in Sutherland

A man will appear in court today after being charged with two outstanding warrants and numerous property, traffic, and fraud offences.

In January 2019, police commenced investigations into a number of property and fraud related offences allegedly committed in the Sutherland Shire Police Area Command and Wollongong Police District.

About 4pm yesterday (Friday 1 February 2019), officers from Sutherland Police Area Command, arrested a 33-year-old Kurnell man at a hotel on Bourke Road, Mascot.

He was taken to Mascot Police Station where he was charged with two outstanding warrants for steal from person and destroy or damage property offences, allegedly committed in June 2018.

The man was also charged with dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception, deal with identity information to commit an indictable offence, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen (x2), make, possess equipment to make false document, custody of knife in public place, possess identity information to commit an indictable offence, possess prohibited drug (x2), and goods suspected stolen in/on premises (motor vehicle),

He was bail refused to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 2 February 2019).
