Wanted Victorian man arrested in Jindabyne

A wanted Victorian man has been arrested in the state's Snowy Mountains today.

Acting on information from the public, officers from Monaro Police District, with assistance from Southern Region Region Enforcement Squad attended Tin Mine Huts in the Kosciusko National Park about 5pm (Wednesday 9 January 2019).

A 46-year-old man, wanted by Victoria Police, was arrested without incident.

He will be taken to Queanbeyan Police Station where he is expected to be charged with an outstanding warrant.

It is expected that detectives from Victoria Police will seek the man's extradition at Cooma Local Court tomorrow.

Police would like to thank NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service and the community for their assistance.
