The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is pleased to announce that Warrabah National Park, including the beautiful Muluerindie stone cabin, is open again after multiple fires burnt through parts of the national park.
Muluerindie is well situated for a short escape as it's located near Manilla, Tamworth and Armidale and offers a great self-contained weekend escape right on the Namoi River.
Area manager, Aaron Simmon said Muluerindie and its surrounding area wasn't directly impacted by fire and is still an idyllic location for a bush escape with some charming comforts of home.
"The impressive Namoi River is currently flowing and is a great place for a swim or a lilo adventure. Disconnect from the distractions of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with nature."
"Autumn is around the corner and it's an ideal time to book your stay in this impressive refurbished stone cabin. Muluerindie is solar powered and can accommodate up to eight people in its open plan design, it has a fully equipped kitchen and a large deck overlooking the river.
"Warrabah National park is home to plenty of interesting animals, which you may encounter throughout your visit. If you're lucky you may even see a platypus splashing along the river in waterholes during the late afternoon, he said.
