Police have charged three people following an investigation into the theft of a motor vehicle and deprivation of liberty incident in Warwick on 6 February.
Around 8.45pm, three people attended a Rosehill Road property on foot before allegedly forcing a 44-year-old Warwick woman into a white Mitsubishi Triton dual cab parked at the property and stealing the vehicle.
It will be alleged the woman was assaulted while in the vehicle before she fled the vehicle on foot and sought assistance from a resident at a Capital Drive address.
The group left the scene in the Triton, and it was later located burnt out on Glenvale Road around 1.45am on 7 February.
Emergency services transported the woman to Warwick Hospital with serious injuries.
Police will allege all four people were known to each other.
A 26-year-old Warwick man has been charged with one count each of robbery, deprivation of liberty, torture, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and assault occasioning bodily harm.
A 42-year-old Warwick man has been charged with one count each of deprivation of liberty, torture, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and assault occasioning bodily harm.
A 27-year-old Warwick woman has been charged with one count each of robbery, deprivation of liberty, torture, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, assault occasioning bodily harm and attempting to pervert justice.
All three are due to appear in Warwick Magistrates Court today.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses and anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to contact police.
