Residents and businesses may wash their cars, homes and properties as a result of ash deposited by the fires.
Council is exempting all residents and business from certain water restrictions in the interests of safety to allow for the cleaning of cars, homes and properties.
Residents and business may use hoses and pressure washers to clean, in addition to buckets and watering cans.
As we head towards deteriorating conditions on the weekend, please be mindful of your water use and conserve water where possible. Council will revise this exemption as necessary heading into the weekend.
