Wayville hit and run, South Australia

A man has suffered serious leg injuries after a car collided into him at a service station in Wayville this afternoon.

About 1.10pm on Wednesday 28 April, police and emergency services were called to a service station on Goodwood Road after reports a car collided into a pedestrian and then left the area.

It is alleged a silver Holden Commodore sedan crashed into a pedestrian and pinned him against a van.

The offending driver left the scene and the Commodore sedan was located dumped on Hampton Street North a short time later.

The victim suffered serious leg injuries as a result of the crash and he was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital by SAAS where he is being treated.

Eastern District patrols searched the area but were unable to locate the driver.
