WCCE 2024 to be Held in Uzbekistan

Nusa Dua, October 7th 2022 –

Indonesia c.q. Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (MOTCE) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs successfully held the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) in Bali, by producing a roadmap for the recovery of the global creative economy or the Bali Creative Economy Roadmap.

The 3rd creative economy conference which was held for three days on October 5-7, 2022, in Nusa Dua, Bali, also brought in many ministers and delegates from 65 countries. After Bali, Indonesia, Uzbekistan was chosen to host the next WCCE in 2024.

"It was three days that inspire, enlighten, and open up broad insights," according to the Permanent Secretary of the MOTCE, Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani, during the closing ceremony of WCCE at BICC, Nusa Dua, Bali, Friday (7/10/2022) evening.

She explained that this year's WCCE was very dynamic since it consisted of 8 discussion panels, 13 creative sessions, and 58 speakers covering four highlighted strategic topics.

"We would like to thank all parties who have participated in collaborating and discussing the 2022 Bali Creative Economy Roadmap as an effort to recover the global creative economy sector," she added.

Further, she said that after Indonesia, which hosted the WCCE twice, Uzbekistan will host the next conference in 2024.

"Speaking of the future, now I would like to announce and hand over the work of hosting the next WCCE 2024 to Uzbekistan," Giri said.

Also attending the occasion with the Permanent Secretary of the MOTCE, the Director General of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the echelon I and II officials within the MOTCE.
