Mackay Tactical Crime Squad (TCS) with the assistance of the Dog Squad charged a 36-year-old East Mackay man with weapons and drug related offences at East Mackay on 31 January.
At 7.30am, officers attended a Bridge Road motel in relation to a wanted person and declared an emergent search.
It will be alleged during the search, officers located a firearm, ammunition, a quantity of dangerous drugs, and drug utensils.
The 36-year-old man has been charged with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs (methamphetamine, buprenorphine), and one count each of possessing relevant substances (butanediol), unlawful possession of weapons (shortened firearm), authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), and possess utensils.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Mackay Magistrates Court on 24 February.
