Police have charged a man with weapons and drug offences in Sarina on 24 January.
Just before 9pm, police conducting patrols in the area intercepted a brown Holden Captiva on Hans Christian Street.
A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered two shortened firearms, four shotgun shells, and a quantity of cannabis.
A 41-year-old Oakenden man was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of weapons (short firearm in public), and one count each of possess modified firearm, authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), possessing utensils that had been used, possessing utensils for use and possessing dangerous drugs.
He is due to appear before Sarina Magistrates Court on 9 March.
