Weapons Charge At Beenleigh 6 November

Police have charged a 23-year-old man after he allegedly threatened people while armed in Beenleigh yesterday, 5 November.

It will be alleged, at 4.33pm police were called to the intersection of George Street and Main Street following reports a man was walking around armed, with what appeared to be a gun, threatening people.

Police arrived on scene about 4.36pm and the man was taken into custody at 4.38pm.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

The 23-year-old Mount Warren Park man has since been charged with one count each of dangerous conduct with weapon and obstruct police.

He is expected to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, 6 November.
