Police have charged two men with weapons and drug offences at Boyne Island on Sunday 27 July.
Around 2pm, police intercepted an unregistered grey Landrover Freelander outside of a Beltana Drive address.
A search of the vehicle uncovered two rifles, a privately made handgun, and quantities of methylamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, MDMA and GHB.
A 31-year-old Heritage Park man was charged with five counts of possessing dangerous drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of weapons, and one count each of possessing utensils, supplying dangerous drugs, offence to buy or possess S8 medicines (Xanax), possessing anything for use in the commission of crime, and authority required to possess explosives (ammunition).
A 37-year-old Benaraby man was charged with four counts of possessing dangerous drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of weapons, and one count each of authority required to possess explosives (ammunition), possessing anything for use in the commission of crime, possessing utensils, and obstructing a police officer.
Both men are due to appear before Gladstone Magistrates Court today, 28 July.
