Camden is getting ready to celebrate emerging artists in theatre, art, dance and music, as Council counts down to the highly-anticipated Camden Shorts.
The Festival of Young Creatives will be held on Thursday 27 April, 6-11pm, at the Camden Civic Centre. The event will proudly shine the spotlight on the next generation of home-grown talent aged between 12 and 25 years, providing a sensational line up of performers.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Therese Fedeli, said many of the performers would be showcasing their talents for the first time in front of a live audience.
"Camden has many young musicians, performers and artists who are often looking for their break and this event is often their chance," Cr Fedeli said.
"It's terrific to be able to give young performers this opportunity and watch their passion for their art on stage, particularly throughout Youth Week where we aim to celebrate our young people and all the ways they enrich our lives and community.

The Camden Shorts event forms part of Council's wider Youth Week program, which also includes:
