Werribee Hit-run

Altona Highway Patrol officers are investigating a hit and run collision which occurred in Werribee on Tuesday.

Investigators have been told a man and a woman were crossing Wattson Street, near the intersection of Duncans Road, about 9pm on 28 October.

As they were crossing they were struck by a blue sedan which was travelling in a north-east direction.

The car failed to stop at the scene after the collision and the driver is yet to be identified.

A passer-by saw the two injured people on the road and went to their aid.

A 33-year-old Point Cook man and a 31-year-old Wyndham Vale woman suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and were taken to hospital.
