West Wyalong Caravan Park Welcomes New Local Management
Bland Shire Council is pleased to announce that the West Wyalong Caravan Park is now under new local management, with the lease formally transferred to Haley and Jared Reid following a resolution of Council at its August meeting.
The Reids, proud locals and busy parents of six children, are thrilled to take on the management of the Council facility. They bring with them a strong commitment to excellent customer service and a passion for maintaining a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment for all guests.
"We're very proud and excited to be the new lessees of the West Wyalong Caravan Park," Haley and Jared said. "Our goal is to ensure every visitor enjoys their stay and experiences the friendly, community spirit that makes our town special."
The couple's enthusiasm for the role is already evident, with the park fully booked for the upcoming Hearts of Gold Festival, a testament to the park's continued popularity and their proactive approach.
Council staff recently met with the Reids to discuss Council's vision for a strong and collaborative relationship. Together, they agreed on three key priorities to guide the partnership going forward:
- Maintaining the Caravan Park to the highest possible standard, meeting all requirements outlined in the formal Lease Agreement.
- Collaborating positively with Council's Tourism team to enhance the profile and brand of the Bland Shire as a tourism destination.
- Proactively addressing any issues that could affect the reputation of the Shire, Council, or the Caravan Park.
Mayor Brian Monaghan welcomed the new leaseholders, praising their enthusiasm and community-minded approach.
"Haley and Jared's local roots and passion for our community make them ideal operators for the West Wyalong Caravan Park," Mayor Monaghan said. "Council is confident their energy, commitment and focus on customer service will further strengthen the park's reputation as a friendly and high-quality destination for visitors to our Shire."
Bland Shire Council looks forward to working closely with Haley and Jared as they begin this new chapter and continue to provide a welcoming stay for visitors to West Wyalong.
