Western Powers' Service System Sparks Submission

The Coordinator of Energy has published a determination on Western Power's submission requesting that the Coordinator triggers a Non-Cooptimised Essential System Services procurement process for Network Support Services for the South West Interconnected System.

The Coordinator of Energy (Coordinator) received a submission from Western Power on 5 January 2026 requesting that the Coordinator triggers a Non-Cooptimised Essential System Services (NCESS) procurement process for Network Support Services for South West Interconnected System.

The Coordinator has published a determination in accordance with section 3.11A of the Electricity System and Market Rules, outlining the reasons for triggering the NCESS procurement process in this instance.
